Team

Three people.

A mechanistic model of a living process cannot be delegated to headcount. The team is small because the work is deep rather than wide, and it stays small until validated domains, not features, are the thing that needs scaling.

Chief Executive Officer

Cameron Souza

Modelling, biogeochemistry and aquaculture. Owns the engine and the science, and wrote the domain models behind each of the six systems.

FocusLand-based aquaculture, biogeochemical modelling, simulation-based inference.

Co-founder

Zachary Cowden

Biology and industry. Previously at Leidos, working on biomanufacturing for space. Runs the bioprocess, digestion and life support domains.

FocusBiomanufacturing, closed-loop life support, defence and government programmes.

Co-founder

Bernard Yong

Markets and operations. Previously at AWS, a lawyer by training, and a former adviser on UN policy. Runs commercial structure, channel and the legal interface.

FocusEnterprise commercial, contracts and data governance, international policy.

Independent validation

Third-party validation.

An established recirculating aquaculture research facility is running an independent measurement validation, checking Terra's biofilter-health estimates against laboratory assay. The institution is named under evaluation agreement.

Contact

Direct technical contact.

Enquiries reach the people who built the engine. Technical questions are answered by the person who wrote the model, not routed through a sales tier.
